Healthy-ish Decadent Chocolate Fudge

The chocolate craving is very real sometimes. Right? As I try to maintain somewhat of a healthy eating habit, I always say, “I refuse to let anything taste less than amazing.” True statement. I love food, Ya’ll! Lookie at this gooey fudge! It’s just as delicious as it looks, I promise you that!

Okay! I’m back and eating fudge. Mmmmmmmmmm! Literally melts in your mouth. Looking at that tower of yumminess was giving me another craving. ๐Ÿ˜›

Here’s the recipe! Enjoy

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil (you can alternatively use all coconut oil too – just use 1/2 cup and no butter)
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup – I use PURE only
  • 3 tablespoons semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla
  • Cooking spray
  • Small pinch of salt (optional)

DIRECTIONS:

  1. In a medium size saucepan on medium heat, melt butter and coconut oil until fully melted.
  2. Add chocolate chips and stir with a whisk until completely melted down.
  3. Add pure maple syrup and cocoa powder and mix well with the whisk until it’s smooth.
  4. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Mix again.
  5. Line a 9×9 baking dish with Press and Seal so it overlaps the edges. Press and seal until it’s fully attached to the baking dish. You can also use parchment paper or wax paper, saran wrap too.
  6. Spray with cooking spray.
  7. With a rubber spatula, scrape the fudge mixture into the dish and spread evenly.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before cutting into square pieces. It is best if you leave in overnight. You will need to keep this fudge in the refrigerator as it will become very mushy at room temperature.
  9. ENJOY!
